Neville Connor was born in Hay, NSW.  He attended the Hay War Memorial High School and whilst a student there, held his first art exhibition at the age of 15.  His talents extended beyond painting to encompass jazz drumming, with the writer having the pleasure of being a member of the same combo during that time [1958], when Neville was still very much in his teens - [see inset photo].  Neville went on to further his studies in Sydney and London, working overseas for an extended period both as an artist and as a jazz drummer.  Neville returned to Australia some years ago and now lives and works in the Shoalhaven area on the south coast of NSW where he is still sought after as an accomplished jazz drummer. His passion for painting has remained as strong as ever and you will find Neville at work in his studio on most days.
